Terms of Service

1. What Jobsmith Is

Jobsmith is an AI-powered career intelligence platform operated by Qubora Labs (qubora.ai). The platform helps users analyse job postings, refine resumes, and draft outreach materials by sending user-provided content to a large-language-model (LLM) provider selected by the user. Jobsmith does not itself employ an LLM; it orchestrates requests to third-party AI services on the user's behalf.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use Jobsmith. Accounts are created through Google OAuth; by signing in you authorise Jobsmith to receive your name, email address, and profile avatar from Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activity that occurs under your Jobsmith session.

3. BYO API Keys

Jobsmith operates on a bring-your-own-key model. To use AI-powered features you must supply a valid API key from a supported LLM provider (currently Google Gemini, OpenAI, or Anthropic). Your keys are encrypted at rest using Fernet symmetric encryption (AES-128-CBC with HMAC) and are transmitted to the relevant provider only when you trigger an AI action.

  • Jobsmith never shares your API key with any party other than the provider you selected.
  • You are solely responsible for any charges incurred on your LLM provider account.
  • You must comply with your provider's own terms of service and acceptable-use policies.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Jobsmith to generate fraudulent, misleading, or discriminatory content.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or probe the platform's infrastructure.
  • Circumvent rate limits, authentication controls, or encryption mechanisms.
  • Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the service without written permission.

5. AI Output Disclaimer

All AI-generated outputs — including resume suggestions, job-fit analyses, and outreach drafts — are produced by third-party LLM providers based on the content you submit. Jobsmith does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, originality, or suitability of any AI-generated output. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all outputs before relying on them in any professional or personal context.

6. No Employment Guarantees

Jobsmith is a productivity tool. It does not guarantee interviews, job offers, or any employment outcome. Career decisions remain yours alone, and Qubora Labs accepts no liability for hiring results or professional consequences arising from your use of the platform.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Jobsmith (resumes, profiles, job descriptions, etc.). By using the service, you grant Qubora Labs a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content solely for the purpose of delivering Jobsmith's features to you. Qubora Labs retains all rights in the Jobsmith platform, branding, and underlying software.

8. Service Availability / Beta

Jobsmith is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. The platform is currently in an early-access stage and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without prior notice. Qubora Labs does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Scheduled and unscheduled downtime may occur, particularly during updates to the underlying infrastructure on Google Cloud Run.

9. Termination

You may stop using Jobsmith at any time. Qubora Labs may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if continued access poses a security or operational risk. Upon termination, your encrypted API keys and session data are deleted. Residual backups in MongoDB Atlas are purged in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Qubora Labs and its officers, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or employment opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of Jobsmith — regardless of the theory of liability.
